My little one does not have thick hair but she has a lot of hair and it is curly/wavy and brushing her hair is torture for her and I!
We have tried everything. Detangling spray, water, conditioner, leave in conditioner, brushes, combs ugh you name it we have tried it! So we I talked to the people over at KnotGenie I got excited thinking FINALLY something that will help! Then I got to thinking what makes this brush different? Will it REALLY work? YUP it does!
“The Knot Genie™ Detangling Brush was created for every mom that has endured the foot stomping and screaming matches that come with brushing their child’s hair. With the Knot Genie, even the curliest, most knotted up hair practically slips through the unique bristle configuration – gently and painlessly. Try the Knot Genie on your kids (or on yourself) – you’ll be amazed by the ease of brushing, as well as how it virtually stops breakage and split ends.”
I was trying to figure out what was different about this brush? Well, “It all has to do with the different lengths of teeth on the brush. When brushing, they bend just right, to gently untangle the hair.”
We still sometimes fight over the brushing but I think that is because I have tramatized her so much in the past. I will say this though, she does come right over with her Knot Genie! She knows that is the best brush for her. Also my husband has THICK hair and he LOVES it and says it makes his hair “shiny and smooth.” Just a man he is.
You can buy the Knot Genie in many colors and only $19.99! You can find them HERE.
**Disclosure: We received a Knot Genie, for free, to review. All opinions are 100% mine and were in now way influenced by the company or anyone else but our experiences with the product.**

This looks like something similar that my daughter “forced” me to buy off of an infomercial. The brush cost me $30 with shipping and all because I was roped into that BOGO scheme.
Is it hard or awkward to use because it doesn’t have a handle?

It is very awkward to handle but it is worth it with her!
